about us

The Mining Forum of South Africa (MFSA) was founded in April 2016 with a clear purpose: to advocate for the rights of communities impacted by mining activities and promote responsible, sustainable practices across the mining sector. Recognizing the significant challenges facing mining-affected communities, a group of passionate activists and community leaders, led by Blessings Ramoba, came together to create a structured platform that could effectively address these concerns. Their mission was to ensure that the benefits of mining extend to local populations while holding mining companies accountable for their social and environmental responsibilities.
